James Lee is focused on providing advisory and secondary transaction services to limited partners invested in the private equity asset class.  He plays a primary role in MHT Secondary Advisors’ efforts in executing on the transfer or valuation of private equity fund interests in the secondary market.

James was previously with Cogent Partners, an investment bank focused in the private equity secondary market.  He has advised on approximately $1.5 billion in private equity fund commitments made up of approximately 200 fund interests and 100 fund managers.  He has experience closing transactions with over 50 secondary buyers.

James returns to MHT where he was previously focused on mergers & acquisitions and private placements of debt and equity for growth-oriented middle market companies.  James was also an investment banker at Salomon Smith Barney/Citigroup IBD where he developed expertise in public and private corporate finance, M&A and financial advisory.  His past experience includes assignments in the media and consumer industries.
