Mark Young joined MHT Partners in January 2010 to lead the firm’s expansion to Boston.  He has over 21 years of investment banking experience focused on growth-oriented, middle market companies. Prior to joining MHT, Mark was a Managing Director with Boston-based Capstone Partners, heading the firm’s technology solutions franchise. Prior to Capstone, he served as Managing Director in the investment banking division of Adams Harkness, Inc. (acquired by Canaccord Capital in 2006).  Mark joined Adams Harkness in 1988, helping to establish their corporate finance practice as well as their public company M&A and lead-managed equity financing capabilities. Mark served as head of Adams Harkness’ west coast office and was a key contributor to the firm’s growth and investment banking strategy, having founded and managed the Adams Harkness Technology Manufacturing Solutions practice that became one of the firm’s most successful investment banking franchises.  During his career, Mark has participated in more than 100 capital markets transactions with an aggregate deal value that exceeds $3 billion.  His investment banking experience extends across multiple industries, including technology-enabled service providers and manufacturers, consumer products, and healthcare.

Mark received his B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1987 and is a qualified General Securities Principal.  He has participated in a number of speaking engagements and presentations, including the Ernst and Young IPO Transformation CEO Retreat and the Silicon Forest Forum. Mark is a board member of Charlestown Lacrosse and Learning Center, an organization focused on enabling young people of all ages and backgrounds to possess leadership skills, self-confidence and knowledge to succeed on the field, in the classroom and in life.

Mark lives in the Boston area with his wife and two children.
